It’s official. I have an agent!

Drum roll please…

literary agent Michael Carr of Veritas Literary Agency is my agent and I couldn’t be more thrilled. You can find out all about Michael Carr here and here, and all about Veritas here.

Did you follow those links? Good, so now you understand why Michael is the perfect match for my novel SECRETS OF HOPELIGHT.

Now the real fun begins. Some elbow grease to polish the novel so it will catch the eye of one or more awesome editors and it’s off to submissions we go. In the meantime, let’s take a moment to toast—I’ll wait for you to get your glass—ready? To the end of my agony over query letters, all 61 of them…cheers!

  1. I hope it’s not too late to jump on the band wagon. I just read your success story on Query Tracker and thought I’d come on over and officially congratulate you. Keep us posted !

  2. Congratulations! Looks like all those trips to the used book store have paid off! Aren’t the best writers the most avid readers?

  3. Congratulations! BTW 61 queries is nothing, I sent out 142 before I got even one partial request. I’ve since given up on the 1st book. Working on a second one now in a completely different genre.

  4. How exciting. Now you have a professional on your side to guide you. I didn;t think it would take long for someone in the industry to recognize brilliance! Kudos and Karma!

  5. And this is your first novel too. Usually the first novel isn’t good enough and agents take the 2nd, 3rd or later. It must be pretty good. Can’t wait to read it.
